Gifted...

As we mentioned in the invitations, most of all we are looking forward to spending our day with you all, but if you would like to give something, we have some info to help you here…

If you’d like…
We know it’s not the most exciting but a money-gift would really help us as we come to setting up home together. As we don’t yet know where we'll be living, we’re not sure exactly what we’ll need, so money would be the most helpful for us. (Cheques can be made out to either of us)

Or how about…
Alternatively, we’d love you to consider buying us a goat, a chicken, some tools, some seeds, cabbage plants etc! Whilst we’re not much good at farming ourselves, we know that it would be so much appreciated at Kampala Children’s Centre in Uganda, to help them establish their farm.

They care for over 80 children who once were found destitute, orphaned and hungry. Lives are being rescued and given new hope, and it is amazing to see the transformation in these lively little one’s lives. We’ll be spending part of our summer with our second-family there and we’d love to be able to take with us a gift to encourage them as they give so much hard work to care for the children and help the community there. (I’m trying to find out some rough costs of farm items to let you know roughly how far your gift will go, I’ll put that info up on here as soon as I have it) See http://www.kampalachildren.com/ for more infomation.

If you’d like to give to this, the best way will be to enclose a cheque (payable to Kampala Children's Centre) in a card and we’ll have a table for you to leave it with the cards and gifts when you arrive at the reception. This way we’ll know how much we’ve been able to give through the wedding. We’ll have some gift-aid forms there too which will mean that if you’re a UK taxpayer, the charity will get an extra 28% of free money from the tax man. Thanks so much!

If you’d prefer…
If you’d prefer, we have also set up a small gift list with John Lewis. You can access that by going to http://www.johnlewisgiftlist.com/ and using our names and the date of the wedding or the gift list number 374802. It seems to consist mainly of linen and cake making kit, i'm not sure what should be read into that!! We'd rather not have gift vouchers, but John Lewis don't let us remove them from the list!

Thank you for wading through all that info!
