9 days to go!

Hi Everyone.

So, here we are, just 9 days to go now. Craziness. Hope you're all looking forward to it. As you can imagine, absolutely everything is totally sorted our end and we've just got 9 days of pure rest ahead of us... ...if only! No, you'll be pleased to know we're almost there. Just a lot of small fiddly jobs to get sorted now. And there's been a few other things to fit in as well, as you can see...

Get lost?

If your maps happen to get lost, you can get them here by clicking on the image and saving it to your computer.

If you're into Sat-Nav then the postcodes are B90 3AG for the church and CV7 7JS for the reception.

Gifted...

As we mentioned in the invitations, most of all we are looking forward to spending our day with you all, but if you would like to give something, we have some info to help you here…

If you’d like…
We know it’s not the most exciting but a money-gift would really help us as we come to setting up home together. As we don’t yet know where we'll be living, we’re not sure exactly what we’ll need, so money would be the most helpful for us. (Cheques can be made out to either of us)

Or how about…
Alternatively, we’d love you to consider buying us a goat, a chicken, some tools, some seeds, cabbage plants etc! Whilst we’re not much good at farming ourselves, we know that it would be so much appreciated at Kampala Children’s Centre in Uganda, to help them establish their farm.

They care for over 80 children who once were found destitute, orphaned and hungry. Lives are being rescued and given new hope, and it is amazing to see the transformation in these lively little one’s lives. We’ll be spending part of our summer with our second-family there and we’d love to be able to take with us a gift to encourage them as they give so much hard work to care for the children and help the community there. (I’m trying to find out some rough costs of farm items to let you know roughly how far your gift will go, I’ll put that info up on here as soon as I have it) See http://www.kampalachildren.com/ for more infomation.

If you’d like to give to this, the best way will be to enclose a cheque (payable to Kampala Children's Centre) in a card and we’ll have a table for you to leave it with the cards and gifts when you arrive at the reception. This way we’ll know how much we’ve been able to give through the wedding. We’ll have some gift-aid forms there too which will mean that if you’re a UK taxpayer, the charity will get an extra 28% of free money from the tax man. Thanks so much!

If you’d prefer…
If you’d prefer, we have also set up a small gift list with John Lewis. You can access that by going to http://www.johnlewisgiftlist.com/ and using our names and the date of the wedding or the gift list number 374802. It seems to consist mainly of linen and cake making kit, i'm not sure what should be read into that!! We'd rather not have gift vouchers, but John Lewis don't let us remove them from the list!

Thank you for wading through all that info!

Did someone press fast-forward?!

Well hello again everyone! Sorry to keep you waiting so long.

I can barely believe that that last post was at the 12-weeks-to-go mark and now here we are with only 3-to-go! As you can imagine, things have been pretty hectic with tonnes going on, but we're so happy that the day is fast approaching and we're really looking forward to seeing you. Stand by for a whole host of updates coming your way from now on!!

12-and-a-bit weeks!

Hello everyone!

Well, if you've got this far I guess the invitation has reached you and Royal Mail is serving us well! It's incredible to think that our wedding day is now only 12-and-a-bit weeks away. We're both really really looking forward to it (as you can see by the picture!!).

Ruth's in Uganda for a couple of weeks at the moment, having a really special time, and I'm in Cardiff with just the last 2 months of Uni to go, but amongst the other things, plans for the wedding are gradually coming together too!

Hopefully it won't be too long until we get some of the other stuff up on this page, so keep checking back!

In the meantime, if you want to see more about Kampala Children's Centre - where Ruth is now, go to http://www.kampalachildren.com/

More coming soon!
